Jules Black

Personal Statement 

‘I have extensive experience within the hospitality industry, from the lower echelons in my teens to Assistant Manager and then General Manager in a number of highly regarded establishments. Although I very much love the world of food and drink, I have a keen aptitude for learning and development and like to think my extensive customer service experience adds value to the Linkubator team’.

Professional Experience

Jules Black BSc (hons), MBA has 20 years experience within the hospitality industry, with the past decade spent in increasingly responsible positions. Most of her career was spent under the tutelage of Paul Rankin at both Roscoff and Cayenne developing a deep understanding of people management, customer service and CRM.

In 2013 Jules joined the largest family operated hospitality organisation in Ireland. As General Manager of the National Grande Café, Jules worked on the pre opening, launch night, and managing and driving the business in its first 18 months of trading in a fast paced and continually changing environment. Jules joined the Linkubator team in January 2016 as Project Manager.

Interests

I have a keen interest in wine and spirits and have achieved WSET Advanced award. I am also part of the Belfast Roller Derby League; derby is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. This has afforded me the opportunity to meet a lot of new people with different skills sets and abilities; teamwork, game strategy and tenacity are key for the sport.
